Greensboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Greensboro is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Such a fun place to take kids! The grounds are very well kept. The stage area would be great for outdoor theater or even a wedding. It’s a beautiful place to take pictures. I love the large sculptures and the open field for a picnic.

I visited gateway gardens midday April 16th. I appreciated the quietness and respectfulness of the other visitors that were there. there were many beautiful plants, bushes, trees and insects. The worker in the building was very helpful and nice when I asked to use the restroom. Overall was a great experience.

Beautiful asset to the Greensboro park system. Great walking paths, kid friendly and awesome parking. This visit was in March.

Great roadside stop with charm and comfort, worth a visit! I loved this place and everything it had to offer. It’s a free, peaceful roadside stop, perfect for stretching your legs, using clean bathrooms, and taking a short walk through a cute garden. The walk itself probably takes about 20–30 minutes, but I stopped to take photos and ended up chatting with other visitors, so I spent close to an hour there. There are lots of quirky objects and displays scattered throughout the garden, which made it even more enjoyable. I went on a weekend and it wasn’t crowded at all, just a lovely, relaxing break.

This was an exceptional place to stumble across while out road tripping through North Carolina. The fountain, building, and grounds were beautiful. The statues and different animals and features were neat to see. There were a few other people there this day as well enjoying themselves. Glad I ended up running across this.
